A field day aimed at letting farmers appreciate a crop stand under different in-situ water harvesting technologies and flood based farming systems was recently constructed in Mitundu EPA, Lilongwe, in Central Malawi. The practices are being promoted by the Rainwater Harvesting Association of Malawi as part of a programme entitled “Asia to Africa; Testing the Adaptability of Flood Based Resource Management” This programme is being implemented in collaboration with Flood Based Livelihood Network (FBLN) and Meta Meta in Netherlands.
