National Workshop on Flood Based Livelihood Systems in Malawi

The 1st National Workshop on Flood Based Livelihood Systems (FBFS) and Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) for Malawi was held on 1st September 2017 at Lilongwe Hotel in the Capital City, Lilongwe. The meeting was attended by experts from a cross range of disciplines who met to define FBFS priorities for Malawi. Being the first of its kind, the meeting served as platform to raise awareness on FBFS and their potential for boosting income and food security and climate change mitigation.
The national workshop followed a field review of FBFS experiences in Malawi that was conducted by the Rainwater Harvesting Association of Malawi through the Flood based livelihoods Network- Malawi Chapter.
